Student reflections for textiles - portfolio piece

This semester, you will be creating an electronic portfolio for all your subjects. A lot of our work in textiles is project based and cannot necessarily be uploaded into an electronic portfolio. Therefore, all textiles students will write a detailed reflection in which you have reflected critically on your growth in textiles and design.

You can write your portfolio as a standard reflection (at least one paragraph per question below), or be creative with your presentation, such as a poster or mind map using the questions below as a basis for areas to address. Please add photos of your design process, your product or any other activity you would like to highlight in your reflection.

Questions to be addressed:
1. What has your progress been like throughout the semester?
  • Decorated calico bag
  • Designing/producing your screen printed t-shirt
2. What are your strengths in textiles? Why?
3. What have been your biggest challenges? Why?
4. What are your weaknesses? What steps can you do to improve them?
5. How do you think your time management skills are going? What improvements could you make to this area?
6. What are you most proud of with your achievements in textiles?

**Please include examples and photographic evidence or your work throughout your reflection.
